Zahra Sohrabpour

Contributions to CCGS: Organized several CCGS events related to mental health and career development, was involved in the collaboration of CCGS and Boynton Health Services to design and develop surveys (2013 and 2016) for evaluating health of graduate students in the Department of Chemistry, University of Minnesota. She has also been part of the team that is working on documenting and publishing the results of those surveys.

Zahra has helped in managing the group budget, grant writing, and managing the CCGS activities at different levels. She initiated and organized the CCGS weekly Yoga classes and the CCGS weekly coffee hours, starting Fall 2015 till summer 2016. She has designed some of these coffee hours to be themed around the cultural diversity of the Chemistry Department’s community. She has also helped in creating the “Surviving and Thriving in Higher Education” YouTube Channel. She has collaborated in designing the CCGS and WISE library system as well.

Zahra graduated from the University of Minnesota in December 2016 and continues to work with CCGS on providing material for the YouTube channel and publishing the survey results.
